On October 19, 2023, Mission BBQ presented the Foundation with a check in the amount of $1,546. This donation was made possible as a result of their American Heroes Cup sales. The Foundation is grateful for Mission BBQ’s continued support of the Baltimore County Police Foundation and the men and women of the Baltimore County Police Department.

On April 25, 2022, the Foundation celebrated its 41st Annual Awards Program at Martin’s Valley Mansion. At this event, 15 individuals and one K9 were recognized for their outstanding contributions in the areas of Rookie of the Year, Community Service, Crime Prevention, Distinguished Contribution to the Profession, Exceptional Individual and Group Performance, and Valor. We were honored to have Ms. Jennifer Franciotti of WBAL TV serve as our Master of Ceremonies.

The Foundation would like to take a moment to remember Chief Cornelius J. Behan who served as Chief of the Police for the Baltimore County Police Department for 17 years (1977-1993). Sadly, Chief Behan passed away on January 7, 2022.

During his tenure with Baltimore County, Chief Behan formed the Baltimore County Police Foundation to serve as a bridge between the Police and the business community. Operating for 43 years now, the Foundation is proud of the work it has done to serve the Police Department and is grateful for Chief Behan's vision in creating this outstanding organization.

In 2015, the Foundation had opportunity to interview Chief Behan as part of its 35th Anniversary of the Annual Awards Program.  During this video, Chief Behan reflects on his vision in creating the Foundation.  We invite you to take a moment to hear our story and celebrate the life and legacy of an outstanding Chief.
